The New Statesman's Regional Development Conference 2024

I was recently commissioned to provide conference photography, here in Manchester for The New Statesman's Regional Development Conference 2024. Amongst others keynote speakers included Jim McMahon MP, Minister for English Devolution and Local Government and former Deputy Prime Minister Lord Hesaltine.

The new government is laying out its vision for the future of regional development. The conference looked at how this vision stacks up against the reality of investment, jobs and infrastructure in the North and Midlands? And what will the next election mean for the future of the levelling up agenda?

From the next tier of devolution and the role of skills and investment in regional growth to the regional benefits of the net zero transition and the role that transport can play in connecting ‘left behind’ parts of the UK, the conference offered key insights into the biggest opportunities and challenges of the levelling up strategy and addressed pressing questions on the future of local growth.

The Studio, on Oldman Street in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quater provided a brilliant service and location for the conference with delegates really well looked after and catered for.
